New TV Spot For Independence Day: Resurgence Released

The upcoming sequel to the hit 1996 film Independence Day has got a new TV spot released by 20th Century Fox. Independence Day: Resurgence will bring back Jeff Goldblum and Brent Spiner, along with several other characters. Directed by Roland Emmerich, the movie will hit the screens on June 24.

The aliens will be returning to destroy the planet as we know it, but this time, the people are more prepared. Using the alien technology from the previous attack, the nations of Earth have come together to design and develop a defence program to safeguard the planet. Though, the alien invasion will be much greater than the previous event.

The new cast for Independence Day: Resurgence includes Liam Hemsworth, Maika Monroe, Joey King and William Fichtner. The script has been penned by Roland, James Vanderbilt, Nicolas Wright, Dean Devlin and James A.Woods. The movie has been in the making for more than 20 years.
