Next Project For Steven Spielberg, A Romantic Comedy?

Legendary director Steven Spielberg is known for his movies Jurassic Park, Saving Private Ryan, Schindler's List, Jaws and several others. He has now expressed an interest in the romantic comedy genre. The director wishes to shoot a romantic comedy with Tom Hanks.

The duo have previously collaborated in 1998's Saving Private Ryan, 2002 film Catch Me If You Can, 2004’s The Terminal and the upcoming thriller Bridge of Spies. The 68-year-old director stated that he would like to take a break from the drama genre. According to Good Morning America, the director said, “One of the films that I just think is one of the best things Tom has ever done, is Sleepless in Seattle. I've never made a movie like that before; I would love to do a movie like that with this guy”.

He praised Tom Hanks for his versatility and said, “For me, everything that Tom does is a surprise to me because I don't recognize him”. The upcoming Bridge of Spies will be released on October 16 in the U.S. The movie has been written by Matt Charman, Ethan Coen and Joel Coen.
