No James Bond movie for Colin Firth! The actor chooses Kingsman: The Secret Service

After having waited for an unending extent, Hollywood actor Colin Firth has given up on his aspiration to star in a James Bond spy film. The actor who’s a big fan of the spy series wanted to put the Bond suit on at least once in his career, as it turns out, he isn’t getting anywhere close to it.

The actor recently signed another spy film titled Kingsman: The Secret Service to be directed by Matthew Vaughn, where he stars as a secret agent. According to the actor, he was driven by his favourite genre of movies and wanted to be a part. "I think to a very large extent, in terms of style, the character of the spy movies I fell in love with has its roots in the 60s. It's 'The Man from UNCLE', it's the 'Harry Palmer' films, it's John Steed's 'Avengers' and those early Bond films," he said.

Colin also added that he knew he wasn’t going to be offered a Bond film hence director Matthew Vaughn convinced him to sign the Kingsman project. "I'd been waiting for the offer on Bond for long enough, but it was (director) Matthew Vaughn who decided that it was a good combination," Firth told.
