With great action, there needs to be great music. Music composer Hans Zimmer is known for his outstanding work in several DC Universe movies like the ‘Dark Knight’ trilogy and the recently released ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’. Hans has stated that he will be retiring from composing for superhero movies. The composer will still create music for other projects.

Talking to BBC, Hans stated, “I did ‘Batman Begins’ with Chris [Nolan] 12 years ago, so ‘The Dark Knight Trilogy’ might be three movies to you, to me it was 11 years of my life”. He also spoke about working for the new Dawn of Justice film and revealed, “This one was very hard for me to do, to try to find new language”. May be, the amount of effort that he had to put in made him introspect and come up with this decision.

The 58-year old composer is still working for ‘Inferno’ which will be directed by Ron Howard and Christopher Nolan’s ‘Dunkirk’. He has also been part of the 2013 film ‘Man of Steel’ and ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’. His talent and skills will surely be missed.
