Oscars 2017: Complete List Of Winners!

From earning Leonardo DiCaprio his first ever Academy for Best Actor to being globally slandered as #OscarsSoWhite, the biggest cinematic global recognition has come a long way since last year. The stage is set, the red carpet is laid and Jimmy Kimmel is all in readiness to host what’s going to be one evening to be remembered for many. It's the 89th Academy Awards!

The fight for Academy has never been this close. From major creative awards to all technical recognitions, the contention for Oscars is largely cliff hanging. As the event is underway, we bring you all the live updates right from Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre. With supremely accomplished works like Moonlight, La La Land or Manchester By The Sea to captivating performances from Casey Affleck, Emma Stone or Denzel Washington, let’s find out who’s going home with that trophy in hands:

Even the official twitter feed of Academy couldn't take the confusion. And even they announced La La Land as the Best Picture before the drama unfolded.

Here's how the drama panned out

Warren explains that he was handed over the Best Actress envelope which obviously read Emma Stone. He thus got confused and announced La La Land as the winner. In an episode of complete heartbreak and rather an embarrassment for team La La Land, it was Moonlight then finally took the biggest honor home.

Stunning looing Academy Award winning actress Halle Berry on stage to announce the big award for Best Director. Hold your breath, it's a close call and the Oscar goes to

And he becomes the youngest ever to get his hands on that trophy! #DamienChazelle. "It's an honor to have been nominated with such big names. I have been inspired by the great work you people have done," Damien!

Next up are the big awards for the night the world has been waiting for with bated breath.

Amy Adams presents the Best Adapted Screenplay and the Oscar goes to

Best Adapted Screenplay - Berry Jenkins, Tarell Alvin McCraney - Moonlight

Beats quite a few big names to get this but it's a fair call.

And here we are with one of the big awards for the evening Best Original Screenplay and guess who takes the stage up? Ben Affleck and Matt Damon

Best Original Screenplay - Kenneth Lonergan for Manchester By The Sea

Gets it where it deserves it! 

Jennifer Aniston on stage with a word of remembrance for legends who lost the Hollywood family. Mention of Bill Paxton who passed away on Saturday. And Academy pays a tribute to Om Puri as well!

The lovely Scarlett Johanson is all set to present best original song. Do we almost know who's winning?

Make that four for the evening! Did we even have any doubts musical awards were going somewhere else?

Number three and an obvious one for this Damien Chazelle directorial

Brace up as 20 years after Good Will Hunting, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are going to be on stage once again.

Possibly the most loved couple of the year, Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling take stage to introduce their movie La La Land (nominated for Best Picture) and let John Legend proceed as he performs City of Stars.

Of the two awards the film has won and amongst the more it is going to win, cinematography is truly truly deserved.

Here comes another dig at President Donal Trump as Jimmy begins to get worried why has Trump not tweeted yet. This evening is certainly getting more excruciating than the Golden Globes for Donald Trump.

Seth Rogen and Michael J Fox are on stage to present the Best Film Editing. And the award goes to

Best Film Editing - John Gilbert - Hacksaw Ridge

Another snub for La La Land but this one for John was well deserved for that edgy editing.

Meanwhile Jimmy Kimmel is having his share of fun with little Lion star Sunny Pawar. He lifts him up as the theatre has a good laugh!

So The Jungle Book makes its debut (all that it will settle with perhaps) with this

Best Visual Effects - The Jungle Book - Robert Legato, Adam Valdez, Andrew R. Jones, Dan Lemmon

Denzel Washington just became the best man for two of their fans from Hollywood tour bus and may have virtually got them married at Dolby Theatre itself. 

Best Production Design - La La Land - David Wasco, Sandy Reynolds Wasco

So finally La La Land arrives at the Oscars. #FirstWinForLaLaLand. David Wasco thanks Damien and reads out how the filmmaker shared his vision and they couldn't help but get absorbed in it.

Best Animated Feature Film - Zootopia - Byron Howard, Rich Moore, Clark Spencer

No surprises there right? Moana fans are you dissapointed?

Best Animated Short Film - Piper

Best Foreign Language Film - The Salesman - Iran

And Jimmy can't help himself but take a dig at that emotional speech as well. "Violda just nominated herself for Emmys too with that speech" is what he says.

Best Supporting Actress - Viola Davis for Fences

At 467 minutes, this is also the longest feature ever to have won an Oscar.

Best Make Up & Hairstyling - Alessandro Bertolazzi, Giorgio Gregorini, Christopher Nelson (Suicide Squad)

While last year it got slandered as #OscarsSoWhite, the first award of the night goes to Mahershala Ali. Is team La La Land getting nervous already?

Best Supporting Actor - Mahershala Ali (Moonlight)

With his awe inspiring display in this mesmerizing piece of drama, Mahershala also became the first Muslim actor to win the golden statue for his role in Moonlight.
