    Los Angeles, Dec. 1 -- It’s a shocking Sunday morning as severe mourning news has poured in that 40-year-old Fast & Furious actor Paul Walker has died on November 30, Saturday afternoon at 3.30 p.m. He died in a car crash, which killed another passenger (his friend) too, in Santa Clarita County, California. The car, reportedly, lost its control and crashed into a tree exploding into flames. The death news has been confirmed by Walker’s spokesperson too.

    Investigation is going on into the car collision. Walker shot to stardom with Gary Ross’ film Pleasantville followed by Varsity Blues and 2001′s The Fast and the Furious. Walker appeared in the Fast & Furious sequel too in 2003 and reprised his role of Brian O’Conner in the franchise’s fourth, fifth and sixth installments. Fast & Furious 7’s filming had already started under the direction of James Wan which is set for release on July 11, 2014.

    The official Twitter and Facebook pages of the actor have also confirmed the sad news, adding that the actor died on his way to a charity event for Reach Out Worldwide. The page said, “It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide. He was a passenger in a friend’s car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news. Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences. – #TeamPW”.
