Release date announced for Magic Mike’s sequel

The release date for the sequel to Channing Tatum-Matthew McConaughey starrer Magic Mike has been announced. Magic Mike 2 will hit the cinemas on July 3, 2015, the same week when Paramount's new Terminator movie, Terminator: Genesis, will release.

The 2012 film Magic Mike featured Tatum and McConaughey as strippers and it was a blockbuster. The movie was made for a budget of $7 million and it raked in more than $167 million overseas. While McConaughey revived himself with this movie, Tatum shot to stardom massively. The sequel will be directed by Greg Jacobs who assisted Steven Soderbergh in the first part. The first Magic Mike opened in late June; hence Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. was looking for a same kind of release date for the second part too.
