    Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Dominates Weekend Domestic Box Office!

    As expected, ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ has opened big at the domestic box office with its $155 million weekend. The spin-off in the epic Star Wars universe has been directed by Gareth Edwards and stars Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Ben Mendelsohn, Forest Whitaker and others. Worldwide, the movie has pooled in $290 million which is a great start for the project with a production budget of $200 million.

    The animated flick ‘Moana’ has fallen to second place and earned $12 million over its fourth weekend. The characters in the film have been voiced by Auli’i Cravalho, Dwayne Johnson and Jemaine Clement. ‘Moana’ has crossed $282 million worldwide. The Jennifer Aniston starrer ‘Office Christmas Party’ added another $8 million to its earnings which have now reached $51 million worldwide.

    Will Smith’s ‘Collateral Beauty’ saw an opening of $7 million over the weekend. The David Frankel directorial pooled in $12 million worldwide. ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them’ still holds a spot in the top five list with its $5 million weekend. The David Yates directorial has been running for five weeks now and has earned $718 million worldwide.
