Rupert Wyatt Leaves Gambit

Now after the situation surrounding the X-Men spinoff Gambit had settled, director Rupert Wyatt has left the project. Rupert has joined the cast as director in June. He is known for his movies Rise of the Planet of the Apes, The Gambler and The Escapist.

Gambit starring Channing Tatum was previously facing problems regarding Channing’s involvement, along with his production partner Reid Carolin. Now the director stated, “I was very much looking forward to working with my friend Channing and the team at Fox, but regrettably a push in the start date now conflicts with another project. I thank them for the opportunity and I know that Gambit will make a terrific film”.

Gambit is planned for a release on October 7 next year. Channing Tatum will play the superhero and that is all the information currently available about the cast. Léa Seydoux was also in talks for joining the movie. Gambit will be produced by Reid Carolin, Simon Kinberg, Lauren Shuler Donner and Channing.
