While talking about his forthcoming film 'Blade Runner 2049', the 36-year-old Gosling has revealed that he was highly impressed by the extraordinary sets of the movie. He thinks that the large-scale practical sets of the movie were built with the intension of cutting down the labour of green-screen CGI. He lauded the director of the film, Denis Villeneuve, and said that he has all the qualities that are needed to reach the zenith.

While singing praises of the Blade Runner 2049’s director, the Notebook actor said, "If you made a list of all the characteristics you hoped for in a director and sent it to Santa Claus, there'd be a Denis Villeneuve under your tree Christmas morning. Maybe a little drunk on eggnog, but he'd be there!" "It's really incredible. I was so overwhelmed by the scale of them and how specific and, although, beautiful they are," he added.

The Blue Valentine actor also praised the cinematographer of the film, Roger Deakins. He said, "Roger is a master. If there's a Mount Rushmore of DPs, he'd be right there in the middle. He goes about his work very modestly and quietly, but you learn so much from just looking. You realize that once you are in one of his shots, half your job is already done."‘Blade Runner 2049’ is a sequel of the 1982 classic. The film is slated to release in USA next year on October 6. However, the fans are ardent to witness the charisma of the actor in the film.
