Sarah Michelle Gellar joins Star Wars Rebels voice cast

Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Sarah Michelle Gellar has joined the voice cast for Season 2 of the animated series Star Wars Rebels, Disney XD announced Tuesday. However, no details about Gellar’s character were released in the report.

Star Wars Rebels executive producer/supervising director Dave Filoni said, "We’re thrilled to have Sarah Michelle Gellar on board for season two. She is a true Star Wars Rebels fan and her passion undoubtedly comes through in the voice recording sessions." Gellar is best known for playing the title role on Buffy The Vampire Slayer for seven seasons. She has also starred in All My Children, The Crazy Ones, Ringer and several feature films including The Grudge, Practical Magic and two Scooby Doo movies.
