Great news for Star Wars fans! The shooting for the upcoming instalment in the epic saga, ‘The Last Jedi’, has been completed. Director Rian Johnson took to his Instagram handle and shared that the post-production has been completed 19 months after its commencement. The flick will be the eighth instalment in the franchise.

“Aaaand that's a wrap on the hardest working post production team in the galaxy. Going to miss sitting in dark rooms with these goobers”, read the post shared by Rian. The Last Jedi will see the return of Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega and Oscar Isaac , among others.

This will be the last film for late actress Carrie Fisher, who had been with the franchise since the very first part. She plays the iconic role of Leia Organa. Carrie passed away in December 2016 and the team had to finish reshooting some scenes and the post-production without her. ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ will hit the screens on December 15.
