Simon Pegg To Join Ready Player One?

It seems like Hot Fuzz actor Simon Pegg is in talks to join the upcoming Steven Spielberg film Ready Player One. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor will be playing the role of Orgen Morrow, the man who created a globally networked virtual utopia, OASIS. Simon is known for his roles in movies like Shaun of the Dead, Paul and the Mission Impossible films.

Ready Player One will focus on a teenager named Wade Watts, played by Tye Sheridan, who is one of the users of OASIS. Before his death, Orgen Morrow designs a treasure hunt for the users, with the ultimate prize being his own fortune. The movie is a cinematic adaptation of a novel by Ernest Cline.

Ready Player One is being produced by Donald De Line, Dan Farah, Kristie Macosko Krieger and Spielberg. The movie will be released on March 30, 2018. Simon will also be seen in the next instalment in the Star Trek series, Star Trek Beyond, releasing on July 22.
