Actor Han Solo has been taken aboard to play an important in the ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’, confirmed director Rian Johnson. His character was played by Harrison Ford and was murdered by his son in the 2015 “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”. However, the director feels it is important to retain the role.

Han will be seen playing a ghost character in the upcoming flick. "A figurative ghost of Han had to be present throughout this entire film”, Johnson told IANS. He added, "Kylo has definitely been knocked off base. The defeat that he had at the end of 'The Force Awakens', but even bigger than that, his huge defining act which, spoiler alert, is the murder of his father... that's the more interesting thing to dive into".

Further in the conversation, Johnson said, "How has he dealt with that in his head? Where is he at in terms of that act and what does that mean for him?" The director also mentioned that Chewbacca will also have a new mission in the flick. Fans now await the film’s release.
