Star Wars VII gets an official title ‘The Force Awakens’

The most anticipated instalment of the Star Wars series has now officially got a subtitle. The film has been titled ‘Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens’, Disney tweeted and confirmed. “Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens has completed principal photography. #TheForceAwakens #StarWarsVII”, the tweet read from the verified Disney handle.

The fresh instalment is largely being looked forward to for its original cast coming back together after a long time. While Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Kenny Baker and Peter Mayhew reprise their old characters of Han Solo, Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, C3PO, R2D2 and Chewbacca respectively, new cast includes names like Lupita Nyong'o, Andy Serkis, Max von Sydow, Domhnall Gleeson and Oscar Isaac. The film is being helmed by J J Abrams and will hit the screens in December next year.
