Stephenie Meyer’s The Host to be released in India by PVR

Stephenie Meyer, who has succeeded in winning millions of hearts worldwide with her blockbusterTwilightseries, has landed her hands upon a new film franchise, titledThe Host. It has been reported that PVR Pictures Ltd. is all set to releaseThe Hostin India on 12th April 2013.

Meyer’s 2008 novelThe Hostis all about a remote future when Earth would get colonized by an alien race called Souls that reside in human bodies. The movie shows the awful inner struggle between one such person and an alien that have fallen for two different guys, but living in the same body. The film is directed by Andrew Niccol, who also adapted the screenplay from Meyer’s novel.

The film stars academy award nominee Saoirse Ronan, Diane Kruger ofInglourious Basterds, Jake Abel ofThe Lovely Bonesamong others.
