Swift, Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith to light up the stage at Brit Awards

Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith are among the stars that have been booked to appear at next year's Brit Awards ceremony. They will take centre stage during Britain’s biggest night of music after being revealed last night as the headline acts for the show at The O2 in February.

Sheeran, 23, is the biggest-selling British album artist of the year after X romped to No.1 in both the UK and America. Smith also cracked America when his debut album, In The Lonely Hour, reached No.2. However, the 22-year-old is set for bragging rights after he bagged six Grammy nominations.  Swift – who will headline one of the British Summer Time events in London’s Hyde Park next summer – last played at the Brits in 2013, performing her hit I Knew You Were Trouble. The Brit Awards with MasterCard will be at The O2 in London on Wednesday, February 25, and broadcast live on ITV.
