Along with sneak peeks of several upcoming movies, fans also got to see some behind the scenes footage from the next instalment in the Star Wars franchise, ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’. In less than 24 hours, the video has crossed 1.1 million views on Youtube. The footage shows the emotional journey that the cast and crew have made since the beginning of the venture.

Writer-director Rian Johnson took the stage at Disney's D23 Expo and spoke about being at the helm of affairs for such an epic franchise. “My friends, whenever I talk to them recently … ask me what the experience was like, I always come back and say I had the time of my life making this movie. Part of that is what Star Wars means to me, and what it means to a lot of us”, he shared. The footage shows some intriguing aspects of the film and also brings to light the characters who we have known and loved throughout the years.

‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ will be the last film for late actress-writer Carrie Fisher who passed away in December last year. The footage closes with Carrie saying, “It’s about family, and that’s what’s so powerful about it”. This was a perfect heartwarming end to the emotional journey that was shared by not just the crew, but also by the fans who have been touched by Princess Leia and the Star Wars franchise.
