TENA DOESN’T WANT TO MOVE ON FROM MARIGOLD

With a second Hollywood flick in her kitty, Bangalore girl Tena Desae  on cloud nine these days. Tena, who played Hollywood actor Dev Patel’s love interest in the 2012 British comedy drama, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, is back in the sequel, The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel that releases this year. The 27-year-old is so kicked about sharing screen space with Hollywood biggies including Judi Dench and Maggie Smith that she wants time to stop.

“I just want this moment to never go away,” exclaimed Tena, while speaking to us over the phone from London. “I don’t want to move on from this in life. Marigold has been the biggest and the best experience of my life. Everywhere I go, there are people who know me and are waiting to see me. It is a surreal experience,” adds Tena, who was recently in England for the London premier of her film, where she also met Prince Charles and his wife, Duchess Camille.

 “That was the time when I realised how important this film has been for me. Everyone was shouting out my name. I have been to film premiers before but this one blew my mind. I just hope the Indian premier is this big too!” says Tena, who has also been seen in Bollywood films including Yeh Faasley (2011) and Table No. 21 (2013).
