Tom Hanks will next be seen in Steven Spielberg's forthcoming film 'The Post'. The actor has described the veteran filmmaker as "guerrilla filmmaker". On the 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert', the Inferno actor said that he appreciates the spontaneity that Steven shows in his works.

Tom said, "He just wants to figure it out as he goes along. He's almost like a guerrilla filmmaker. He has the set, he has the space and he wants to fill it with something he hasn't imagined before. I don't mean to say that he's not prepared -- he's the most prepared man in the world."

The 61-year-old will star alongside Meryl Streep, who plays the role of Kay Graham, in the movie. He said that Meryl was “mad” at him for not telling her about Spielberg's directing method. "Meryl was mad at me because I didn't tell her Steven doesn't rehearse," said Hanks. This is the 11th time that Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks will be working together.

‘Post’ boasts an ensemble cast of Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, Alison Brie, Carrie Coon, David Cross, Bruce Greenwood, Tracy Letts, Bob Odenkirk, Sarah Paulson, Jesse Plemons, Matthew Rhys, Michael Stuhlbarg, Bradley Whitford and Zach Woods. The flick is slated to release on January 12, 2018.
