Tom Cruise’s ‘Top Gun 2’ Is A Real Deal

Hollywood superstar Tom cruise was recently asked by the hosts of an Australian TV show about the possibilities of a sequel of the 1983 hit Top Gun. The actor replied in the affirmative and further revealed that the movie will probably go on the floors from next year onwards.

Top Gun was a movie that is known for kick starting Cruise’s film career. The movie grossed more than $350m globally at the box office. Tom Cruise portrayed the role of an arrogant Navy aviator who was always in competition with his rivals in the Top Gun program at the US Navy training station. The movie also starred Val Kilmer, Tim Robbins, Meg Ryan, Tom Skerrit and Kelly McGillis.

According to sources, the producer of the movie Jerry Bruckheimer hinted that the new script of the movie will be based on the situation of pilots who become obsolete because of drones. Oblivion director Joseph Kosinski is in talks to helm the sequel.
