Tom Hanks to star in A Hologram for the King’s film adaptation
Dave Eggers' National Book Award finalist, A Hologram for the King, is all set to be adapted for the big screen presentation. Helmed by Cloud Atlas co-director Tom Tykwer, the film version will star Hollywood superstar Tom Hanks.
Tyker of the Run Lola Run and Perfume: The Story of a Murderer fame, adapted the novel and will direct the film. To quote Deadline on the plot, the story is all about "a struggling businessman who, after failing in America, heads to a rising Saudi Arabian city for a last ditch attempt to stave off foreclosure, pay his daughter’s college tuition, and do something memorable.” Way to go Tom Hanks, who is looking forward to reunite with his old colleague Tom Tykwer.
