Tom Holland To Play Nathan Drake In ‘Uncharted'

Actor Tom Holland has been roped in to star in another big-ticket role in 'Uncharted'. The 20-year-old will essay the role of young Nathan Drake. Shawn Levy of the 'Stranger Things' fame will be at the helm of affairs for the movie.

The film will not follow the plot of Naughty Dog game, but will be its prequel which will show young Drake as a young treasure hunter who learns thieving trade tricks from his will-be mentor, Sully. The plot will be based on a sequence in the third part of the video game which focused on Drake and his encounter with the professional rogue, Sullivan. Joe Carnahan has written the screenplay for the film.

Avi Arad, Charles Roven, Alex Gartner and Ari Arad will produce the project. Tom is currently awaiting the release of Spider-Man: Homecoming which will hit the screens in July. He also has The Weinstein Co.'s The Current War and Doug Liman's Chaos Walking in his kitty.
