Hugh Jackman has played the Wolverine in the X-Men franchise since the start. After 16 years he will now be appearing as the clawed mutant one last time in the forthcoming Wolverine sequel. He himself released an early teaser art on twitter with #OneLastTime, asking fans for their input on the next film.

During this year’s San Diego Comic Con International, Hugh teased the ‘Old man Logan’ storyline from Mark Millar and Steven McNiven’s comics. Though unconfirmed, the storyline might be part of the next film. The Prestige actor has gained tremendous amount of appreciation from the fans for his portrayal of Wolverine but the news of his last act as the character has shocked and disheartened them. It would be interesting to see who takes the podium after Hugh steps down.

His tweet received several replies with people sharing what they would like to see, some related to the Marvel universe and some totally bizarre. The upcoming untitled sequel will be directed by James Mangold and written by David James Kelly. With the 2016 X-Men universe films like Deadpool - releasing on February 15, X-Men: Apocalypse – releasing on May 27 and Gambit – releasing on October 7, the Wolverine sequel will hit the theatres on March 3, 2017.
