    Spanish film director Juan Antonio Bayona of 2012 film The Impossible, will helm World War Z sequel starring Brad Pitt in the lead role. Paramount and Skydance Productions’, who will make this film under their banner, have roped in the filmmaker. 2013 released zombie thriller World War Z was based on Max Brooks with same name and grossed $202 million domestically and $540 million worldwide, becoming a surprise hit.

    Brad will reprise his role of United Nations employee, who tries to stop a zombie plague. He talked about the doing a follow-up of the film, ''I think it lends itself to a couple of [sequels]. We've certainly got enough to mine from the book and enough to pick up, certainly, if this thing works.'' The film is still in pre-production stage and no other finalizations have yet been done. The Academy Award nominated director has no other projects as of now but Brad Pitt has 4 projects in her kitty i.e. 12 Years a Slave, The Counselor, Voyage of Time and Fury.
