Nirbhay Chakravarthi's debut Kannada film Vijayaaditya, which stars Dhananjaya is delayed due to the immense graphic work that the film requires. The director said, “Dhananjaya plays a warrior from an earlier century, based on a real-life character from the Chalukya dynasty, but largely set in a fiction. The challenge, therein, was to not only get the look of the characters right, but recreate that era”.

Nirbhay added, “Ideally, we could have shot at historical monuments like the ones in Hampi, for instance, but even there, you will see inscriptions made by tourists over the years. Those can be wiped out, but you miss one and it remains a blemish on your film. So we decided to create the entire backdrop with computer graphics”.

The director also said that the film will be using the technology for a war sequence as well. Nirbhay wants the scene to look big on screen. Talking of the scene, he said, “We have used graphics and motion capture to create thousands of soldiers seen fighting beside and behind Dhananjaya”.
