I Loved The Way I Was Treated In Pakistan: Ramya

In the midst of controversy over her praising of Pakistan, actor-politician Ramya has refused to apologize. Instead, she made it clear that she would go back to Pakistan, if she had to. Ramya said in an interview that she was treated very well in the neighbouring country.

Talking about a sedition complaint filed against her, the Thoondil actress said, “What can I say? Perhaps, the complainant is not fully aware of the sedition law or must be misusing it. Today, it is being misused against me, tomorrow, it will be somebody else. I think we must repeal the law itself considering that it has been misused so many times”.

She emphasized that sedition law in the country is outdated and needs to be ‘well-defined’. Ramya felt that the law contradicts country’s Right to Freedom of Speech and Expression.
