Mahek Chahal to debut in Sandalwood with item song in Airavata

Bollywood actress Mahek Chahal who was last seen in Bigg Boss 8 will be making her debut in Kannada movies soon. The actress will be seen dancing in an item song for A.P. Arjun’s Airavata. Mahek is currently in the city to shoot for the same.

The track has been written by director and lyricist Yogaraj Bhat. According to Arjun, this is a meaningful song with lyrics that go, “Kakdal Kotu Ka, Kakili Ka, Kagunsuki’’. A huge set has been erected at Abhay Naidu Studio for the four-day shoot. “Kalai Master is choreographing the song”, says the director.

Mahek, who was previously seen in rocking item numbers such as “Sajna Ve Sajna” from Chameli and “Le Le Mazaa Le” from Wanted, calls this a very Bollywood-ish number. "I chose this song because Darshan's a big star. The other reason is that it also features Prakash Raj. He was there in my song in Wanted and I find him to be my lucky charm. The song is about praising the Kannada language and culture and, funnily, I managed to get a hold of the song and lyrics instantly", the actress said in a statement.
