Musician Ricky Kej makes it to Grammy

Music composer Ricky Kej bagged the Best New Age Album award at the 57th Grammy Awards for his collaborated album Winds Of Samsara. Ricky had apparently joined hands with South Africa based musician Wouter Kellerman for the album, which symbolises harmony. The collaborated venture draws inspiration from two cultures and has been described as ‘truly global effort’.

Ricky Kej has earlier contributed in various Sandalwood flicks such as Accident, Venkata in Sankata and Crazy Kutumba. Praising Ricky, filmmaker Ramesh Aravind said, “I am delighted. It shows how frail borders are when it comes to talent and arts”. Ramesh Aravind had worked with Ricky in three Kannada films, out of which Accident went on to win the annual award for sound effects.

Aravind further praised Ricky for his professionalism and revealed that the young musician had worked continuously for 21 days while composing music for Accident.
