New Releases Cause Chandrika To Be Removed

The horror flick Chandrika was released on September 25 and was removed from theatres this week due to the slew of multiple film releases. The movie was doing quite well before it was taken down in theatres of Karnataka and Bengaluru. J. Karthik plays the lead role in the film and took to a social networking site to show his disappointment.

The director said, “’CHANDRIKA’ was going successful with superb collections, but it has been removed from theatres for big stars movie! No problem let people grow to heights. Thanks for people who watched chandrika and appreciated. Will try to do movies according to ur expectations. I guess actors like us hv no value in this industry”.

Chandrika focused on a couple who move in to a haunted house and the wife’s body is taken over by a spirit. The movie was directed by Yogesh Munisidhappa. The new releases that caused the film to be removed included Mr Airavathaa and Puli.
