    Raam Reddy’s ‘Thithi’ Wins German Star Of India Award

    The director of the celebrated film, ‘Thithi’, has added one more feather to his cap. The Kannada drama, ‘Thithi’, has brought its team gigantic stature by bagging the ‘German Star of India Award’ for the Best Feature Film at 13th Indian Film Festival. The event was held in Stuttgart, Germany.

    The director of the flick, Reddy says, “With this award, we continue to perhaps be the most internationally awarded Indian film this year so far and I hope these are positive steps towards possibly securing the official Indian Oscar nomination for 2016.” Ere Gowda, the co-writer of the screenplay for the movie said, “It is a great feeling that the movie is doing well at domestic as well as international forums. I have been visiting many villages in Karnataka and in many places people are talking about Thithi.”

    ‘Thithi’ was competing with 15 other Indian films at the award function. But it maintained its stroke, and seized the award. ‘Thithi’ was released in Karnataka on May 6. The movie has by far bagged 14 prestigious awards.
