Rachita Ram In Kannada Remake Of ‘Velaiilla Pattadhari’?

Dhanush starrer ‘Velaiilla Pattadhari’ was a Tamil blockbuster film. The Kannada remake of this film is on the cards. Director Nanda Kishore has been assigned the challenging job to reprise the film for the Kannada audience. The latest reports have it that Rachita Ram has been booked to play the female lead in this forthcoming film.

‘Velaiilla Pattadhari’ featured Amala Paul as the female lead. Initially, it was rumoured that Amala will play the lead in the Kannada version as well, but the recent news has ified the previous hearsays. A source close to the project reveals, "The team met with Rachita earlier this week and discussed the modalities. She is officially on board, but they are yet to make an announcement about the same."

Apart from this touted remake, 24-year-actress Rachita has a few more films lined up. One of these projects is ‘Bharjari’ opposite Dhruva Sarja. Before her debut on the big screen, she appeared in the Kannada television soap opera Arasi. Her first film was ‘Bulbul’ that released in 2003. Since then, she has constantly been featured in multiple movies.
