Ranna tangled up in a controversy

Ranna, one of the blockbuster movies of the year, is facing trouble just after its release. The producer of the film, Chandrashekhar has claimed to be the distributor of the film. However, the distribution rights of the film were already purchased by Gokul Films.

Chandrashekhar has made the claim through a set of recently released ads. On the other hand, Gokul films have official documents, saying that they are the real distributors of the film. As per the documents, they have acquired distribution rights for a sum of Rs 12.5 crores.

Chandrashekhar is now demanding the rights back, saying that there have been discrepancies in the agreement. Reportedly, Chandrashekhar doesn’t have distributing rights. He is doing this because he wants a bigger share in the profits, as the film has sprouted well on the box office. Ranna is remake of Telugu film Attarintiki Daredi. Ranna stars Kiccha Sudeep in the lead role. It is also the comeback film of the star after 10 years.
