Ravi Kiran Approached 74 Producers For His Film Titled ‘Girgitle’

Launched in 2012, ‘Girgitle’ was stalled as the producers backed out of the project. Director Ravi Kiran is now back with the film after having approached 73 producers. The 74th one, which was also the last one, was Girish, with whom the deal has been locked recently.

Talking about the delay, the director said, “After the film was stalled, no one was willing to take over. I met 73 other producers before Girish sir agreed to complete the film like I wanted it. There are instances when some persons claiming to be producers called me to meet them and also asked me to bring along palav from Cottonpet. Every time I met them, I had to take food for them! Even these kinds of people are posing as producer”.

Ravi is new to the industry. He has worked as a recruiter in the past and he says that his past experience has helped him in selecting the producer as well as the three actors- “Chandru, who is the son of former stunt master Govind. Pradeep has a background in drama. Guru is a newcomer and he was selected for his body language. Rangayana Raghu is playing a major role. There are no 'heroes' or 'heroines' in the film, there are only character”, he revealed. About the film, he said, “It is a mass comedy. My attempt is to make people who watch it once come back to watch it again”.
