Mohanlal reprises his old avatar in Loham

Back in his old avatar, Mohanlal will again portraying the larger than life action hero in his upcoming film Loham. The 54-year-old actor has lost weight and looks fit to complete the action sequences in the movie. This is the fifth time when Ranjith and Mohanlal have come together for a film.

The film focuses upon the gold smuggling racket in Kerela. Mohanlal will be seen essaying the role of a taxi driver, while Andrea Jeremiah plays the female lead opposite him. Loham has been produced by Antony Perumbavoor and will be helmed by Ranjith.

The director has also assembled an impressive support cast for the upcoming movie, which includes Ajmal Ameer, Siddhique, Renji Panicker, Harish Peradi, Mythili and V.K. Prakash. The movie is slated for release later this year. Ranjith and Mohanlal have earlier worked together in Ravana Prabhu, Chandrolsavam and Spirit.
