Neram Director Alphonse Puthren Venturing Into Production

Director Alphonse Puthren is the kind of person who is focused on quality and not quantity. The director-actor has only three films in his kitty but, he has showed his potential as a director through his films ‘Neram’ and ‘Premam’. Now, the talented director is taking on another role, i.e. the role of a producer. Alphonse recently took to his Facebook page where he announced the news.

“My friend Mohsin Kassim is doing a movie. I heard the story, liked it and decided to bankroll. Krishna Sankar, Siju Wilson, Sharafudheen and Shabareesh do the lead roles”, read the hand written note, the photo of which was posted by Alphonse. Mohsin previously helped Alphonse during the shooting of his 2013 film Neram.

The producer is currently looking for a strong female lead as he wants the character to be a bold Malayali girl. Alphonse’s latest directorial was the Tamil film ‘Aviyal’. He has also acted in a couple of projects including his own film ‘Premam’ and the Tamil film ‘Chennai Ungalai Anbudan Varaverkirathu’.
