Nikki Galrani may have started off in the Kannada film industry, but is very hopeful about her upcoming Mollywood project Rudrasimhasanam. The actress will be seen sharing screen space with Suresh Gopi and many top actors of the M-town in the film. Nikki, however, is missing the presence of Devidathan on the sets.

Devidathan is a 40-year-old elephant who was also part of the cast. Talking about him, Nikki says, "I love animals, especially elephants and dogs. Devidathan was always present on the shooting location and I usually started my mornings with him. The mere sight of him would give me a kick and I used to sit next to him cuddling, pampering and feeding him, throughout the day. When the shots were ready, they had to drag me away as I kept his company all the time. It was a refreshing episode for me, as I hardly get to experience something similar in Bengaluru."

Talking about her co-star Kaniha, who recently condemned animal sacrifice on her social networking page, Nikki adds,  "Both of us were together that day to shoot in a particular temple, where people sacrifice animals as a thanksgiving gesture, post which they cook and eat the meat. Since everyone knew I am sensitive to such scenes, I was asked to keep away."
