Are they on or are they off? This question has plagued the fans of Bollywood many times. With the amount of buzz that the announcement of a big movie creates, it becomes nerve wracking for the fans when they cannot tell for sure if they movie they have been waiting for is actually being made or not.
Here is a list of 5 movies which fans are confused whether to wait for or not.
Shekhar Kapur's futuristic magnum opus Paani has been in controversy for a while now. Initially planned in association with Yash Raj with Sushant Singh Rajput as the lead, the film was announced at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, but never got made. However, Shekhar Kapur's ambiguous answers and recent rumours of him making it in Hollywood has kept the controversy alive.

Karan Johar announced Shuddhi with much fervour. It was initially supposed to have Hrithik and Kareena as the lead pair, and then KJo announced Varun and Alia's name as the cast of his ambitious projects and then there were rumours of him shelving the project altogether. However recently officials at Dharma Productions have come up with the statement that it will be definitely be made but at the right time. Confused? Us too!
After the stupendous success of Aashiqui 2, another instalment of the franchise seemed very likely and the fans of the movie were jubilant to know that there is a possibility of Aashiqui 3, that too featuring B-town hottest pair Siddharth and Alia. But since then apart from a few words here and there like the classic 'nothing has been confirmed yet', not much is known about the status of the project.
Hera Pheri 3
Phir Hera Pheri ended on literally a cliff hanger and ever since fans have been waiting with bated breath for the third part of one of the country's most beloved comedy movie series. But after multiple re-shufflings of actors and directors, the fate of this movie is absolutely uncertain.
No Entry Mai Entry
Another sequel on the list, the second instalment to this 2005 hit comedy was a welcoming news for the fans of the movie. However, there were rumours of the film getting shelved, a claim director Anees Bazmee vehemently refuted. But with 12 years gap in between, even Bazmee's strong assurance falls short on the expectations of the fans who have been waiting for the sequel without any update on the progress of the project.
