5 Movies That You Won't Believe Anushka Sharma Rejected

Anushka is certainly in the top rung of actors working in Bollywood today. Her eleven-year-long career can give envy to any of her colleagues. 

She is the only actress who has been involved in two 300 crore films, she has her own production house and she has won nearly every award in the business.

Obviously, she has reached where she is by saying no as much as by saying yes. That might include not working with certain actors, not doing certain types of films or even certain roles that she would have thought she couldn't have given justice to.

On that, here are the films she rejected:

TAMASHA

The actress passed on the opportunity to work with Imtiaz Ali and Ranbir Kapoor. But given the fact that the film didn't do too well at the BO, her judgement was spot on. And moreover, she got to work with the two of them later anyway: Ranbir in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Imtiaz Ali in Jab Harry Met Sejal.

This Chetan Bhagat adaptation won a lot of adulation upon its release. But did you know that Alia Bhatt's role was offered to Anushka Sharma first?

KI AND KA

This R. Balki film did decently at the BO in 2016. But it might come as a surprise to you that the role of "Ki" was offered to Anushka Sharma and not Kareena Kapoor.

AAGADU

Not many actresses would have passed on the opportunity to work opposite South Indian superstar Mahesh Babu. But that's exactly what the actress did. Too bad Agaadu went on to become a massive success.

BAAR BAAR DEKHO

This upcoming sci-fi romance starring Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif, had one big twist before it was made: Katrina Kaif wasn't supposed to be in the film. Instead, Anushka Sharma was the first choice.
