4 Upcoming Movies That Will Bring Back The Two-Hero Trend

Remember the good old days when we went into movie theatres to see not just one hero but two. It was a true treat for every cinema fan who got to see their fantasy of seeing two great actors, not just sharing the screen but owning it.

That trend was prevalent in the 90's David Dhawan movies, and superhits like Andaz Apna Apna and Karan Arjun. Before that there was Sholay, Deewar and Anand where two genuine superstars took to the screen together.

But sadly, with the rising demands of the stars and movies becoming more and more like business, that trend has somewhat dissipated. In the past decade or so, except the passable comedies, we don't see two big stars coming together for a movie.

So, that is why the news of these four movies is even better:

PADMAVATI

Though this Sanjay Leela Bhansali will largely focus on Deepika Padukone's titular character, it is great to see that two genuine superstars (Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh) will be in the same movie.

BAADSHAHO

After working on Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi will join hands for this highly anticipated 2017 project.

RANGOON

This heavily anticipated Vishal Bhardwaj movie will be a love-triangle, with Kangana Ranaut at the centre and Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor on either side.

THUGS OF HINDOSTAN

Probably the great news story of the year was the confirmation of Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan coming together for the first time in this historical adventure.
