“Has it been 20 years already!” exclaims actor Shakti Kapoor when we tell him that his cult film Andaz Apna Apna (1994) turns 20 on November 4. The Rajkumar Santoshi directorial, that starred Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon, Karisma Kapoor and Paresh Rawal in lead roles is still remembered for its iconic dialogues and scenes. And Kapoor, who played the comic character Crime Master Gogo in the film, says that he has wonderful memories of shooting the film.

"I could only shoot at night as I was shooting for other films during the day. The set was at Filmcity and the producer and director requested the other actors to shoot at night. So that was how we shot the climax of the film," he says.

Very few know that it was actor Tinnu Anand, who was first approached for the role. " Tinnu had some date issues due to which he was not able to shoot for the film. So when they came to me with the role, I called up Tinnu. He told me that he has date issues and if they are offering me the role, I should take it up," says Shakti, adding that he can still play the role perfectly. "I would love to do it again. I think I am still fit enough to play the character. But if not me, I feel my son (Siddhanth Kapoor) would be ideal. Kapoor also has his choice clear for the lead roles, as he feels that now it is impossible to get Salman and Aamir together in the same project. “The actors have become very big now. I don't think it is possible to get them together (on one project).  I feel the heroes could be played by Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh and the heroines could be played by Shraddha (Kapoor) and Alia (Bhatt)."
