Aamir Khan's Secret Superstar Trailer Is A Major Throwback To Taare Zameen Par!

Bollywood's Mr. Perfectionist aka Aamir Khan is back with yet another movie called Secret Superstar after his blockbuster movie Dangal. This film starring Zaira Wasim and Aamir in the lead releases on Diwali, October 19, 2017. 

Secret Superstar is the story of Zaira Wasim who plays the role of Insu, a girl who loves music and sings, but her father is absolutely against promoting her talent. 

She speaks about her dream of becoming a singing sensation with her mother, who is equally supportive and encouraging. But, next you see her father ridiculing her, physically threatening her to stop pursuing this passion that she has. He breaks the strings of her guitar with a knife as she watches and cries.

Even her mother gives up saying that ultimately that man is her father and her husband. She cannot go against him. 

Aamir Khan as Shakti Kumar, a singer who has won countless awards comes to her rescue and starts training her. Insu eventually opens her YouTube channel where she refuses to disclose her name because she fears her father. She becomes a Secret Superstar as her songs top the charts on YouTube. 

The trailer gives you major Taare Zameen Par feels because the story revolves around a father who doesn't appreciate the choices and passion of his daughter, like we saw Darsheel Safary in the movie TZP. 

Bajrangi Bhaijaan's Munni's mother plays the role of Zaira's mother in the movie.
