This Pictorial Review Decodes Arjun Rampal’s Daddy!

Arjun Rampal's Daddy released today in the theatres across the nation. The film is about the story of Arun Gawli, a mill worker’s son who resorted  to extortion, gambling and murder before ultimately becoming  the face of the underworld. Arun and his 2 friends Babu and Rama formed a gang together and reigned over Mumbai during 70s and 80s. Arjun Rampal is in the lead and there are several other actors like Aishwarya Rajesh, Nishikant Kamat, Anand Ingale and Rajesh Shringarpure. The overall performance was brilliant. Arjun is playing the role of gangster turned politician Arun Gawli and he has brilliantly portrayed his character. He looks just like a real gangster. The way he walks, talks and sits and the body language overall has been imitated by Arjun with perfection. His performance is also very impressive. Whether it’s the emotional, helpless and ‘fattu’ from Dagdi Chawl or the merciless and fearless gangster of Mumbai, Arjun has brought the transformation to life in the best way possible! 

High Points Of The Movie 

This movie is full of ruthless murders . The shady chawls with the small bylanes, the ‘khoon kharaba’ and hatred in the face of the characters might make you go sick. There are some of the most merciless murder sequences in this film and these will keep you glued to your seat. The movie is quite realistic and it feels like the closest you will get to know about Arun Gawli’s life. The film has cut on all the glamourization and it is a big step to make a movie on a living person and portray it as it is!

Elements Of The Movie 

The movie is full of emotions. Arun used to be a helpless and ‘fattu’ guy who turned into a gangster because of the situations and the circumstances. He had lost a lot of people in the process too. The plotting murders could have been portrayed better. The film will also give you some major friendship goals. You will also like the character of the police officer, who is obsessed with Gawli and hell bent on arresting him! His character is impressive as well as annoying at the same time.

All and all if you are a crime drama fan then you should watch this one.
