Krrish 4 - Hrithik Roshan returns as the mighty Indian superhero! 

Republic & Independence day : LOCKED

Republic Day: Republic Day is blocked by Neeraj Pandey’s Aiyyari starring Sidharth Malhotra. 

Independence Day is blocked for Akshay Kumar’s Crack, a thriller by Neeraj Pandey. 

The risky experiment 

Anand L Rai’s film with SRK where he plays a dwarf is a much anticipated movie. But we’re keeping our fingers crossed, because experiments don’t quite work for the Khans. 

Love story : CHECK 

Varun and Alia’s Shiddat will be our annual dose of mushy romance. 

Biopic : CHECK 

Dutt Biopic with Ranbir in and as Sanjay Dutt, directed by Rajkumar Hirani . The emperor of music, Moghul (a biopic on the late music moghul Gulshan Kumar) played by Akshay Kumar. 

The light hearted RomCom

Gully Boys might just steal everyone’s thunder, or give us a break next year because it has a fresh pairing with Ranveer and Alia and a blessed break from stereotypical stuff, because that’s the least we expect from the spectacular Zoya Akhtar . 

Girl bonding and a wedding! Veere Di Wedding is going to give us some peppy wedding songs, and a unique story about the bond of four friends. 

Sci Fi- Chanda Mama Door Ke will fill in the void of a movie genre we haven’t really explored with Sushant Singh Rajput as Rakesh Sharma, the first Indian to land on moon. He's been shooting at NASA, so you can expect huge things. 

The game changer

2.0 - This could be the game changer of 2018 which can turn the box-office’s fortune forever. Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar’s combo can be deadly! 

Fanney Khan and Hichki: Marking the comeback or end of sabbatical  (no matter how much they say they never left) for Rani and Aishwarya, these two movies make up for the old Bollywood aura we’ve been missing. 

Sequels: Student Of the Year 2, Baaghi 2 , Dabangg 3 

Political drama: The Accidental Prime Minister starring Anupam Kher as former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is going to be a stellar movie that checks Bollywood’s bucket list of political drama in 2018. 

50-50 chance: Rambo ( Tiger Shroff as Rambo), Dancing Daddy ( Salman Khan and Remo’s Dance movie) Sandeep Aur Pinky Farar, Namastey Canada, both mark the comeback of Parineeti & Arjun Kapoor together after Ishaqzaade. Seeing a dancing Salman Khan would be interesting but risky, and Tiger Shroff movies either rock or tank, so we'll have to see. With Pari and Arjun, we can expect at least one movie to do well, so yeah, it's a 50-50. 

Most awaited: Kedarnath has to be the most awaited movie of 2018 because it marks the debut of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter Sara Ali Khan and the curiosity is only going up by each passing day. It also gives the audience a fresh pairing with Sushant and Sara. 

Critical acclaim 101: Sui Dhaga (Anushka and Varun), Raazi (Alia and Vicky Kaushal ), October (Directed by Shoojit Sarcar, Starring Varun Dhawan ) and Padman (Akshay Kumar, Radhika Apte). We might not be able to comment about the box office success of these films, but they surely are going to be in the good books of critics and will do well by word of mouth. 

So, there’s risk, passion, some sure shot award winning roles and great content coming our way in 2018. It could easily be Ranbir and Akshay’s year, with a few surprises, because you never know with Bollywood!
