5 Reasons To Watch Sunny Deol's Poster Boys
Poster Boys starring Sunny Deol, Shreyas Talpade and Bobby Deol is releasing on September 8. The film is remake of the hit Marathi film Poshter Boyz (2014) which Shreyas both produced and acted in. The trailer has already garnered appreciation for the film and the song Kudiyan Sheher Diyan ft. Elli Avram is also a hit. Here are the reasons why we are excited about Poster Boys:
The macho family of Bollywood has given us hits like Apne and Yamla Pagla Deewana where they have starred together. While one was a family drama, the other was a rib tickling comedy. The Deols have a huge fan following all over India and people love to see them in comedic avatars.
The film is based around the concept of Vasectomy ‘Nasbandi’. While earlier, such kind of a film won’t even see the light of day in India, now is a good time to make films based on supposedly ‘taboo’ subject. The success of Vicky Donor, Toilet and Shubh Mangal Savdhan means that audience is ready to embrace good content.
Directorial debut of Shreyas Talpade-
He’s a fine actor who debuted with a great directorial Iqbal. He also produced the original ‘Poshter Boyz’ in 2014. It’ll be interesting to see his adaptation as he’s mostly been doing comedies recently.
The film centers on 3 characters who face ridicule from their families after their faces appears on a ‘Nasbandi’ advertisement. They decide to take the matters on their own hands and fight the system. It results in multiple comedy situations.
The film is also serving as the comeback vehicle for Bobby Deol. He was last seen onscreen in Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 in 2013. He stayed away from the silver screen as he was still looking for a good script and then came Poster Boys.
