The Central Board of Film Certification has always been in news thanks to its questionable process of certifying a film. While numerous chiefs, the board members have given various reasons for following the guidelines set by government or catering to the feelings of a particular community while certifying a film, most of their decisions end up getting into controversies. The directors don’t want to creatively compromise on their film and the censor forcing them to remove certain scenes like smoking, drinking, and cuss words starts a war between the industry and the board. More than often, the board also passes film in a particular category where it should not have been passed in the first place.
