5 Times Aamir Khan Attended An Award Show Even After Saying He Won't

Aamir Khan is one of the few actors who is never seen at any awards ceremony. He has spoken over a number of times why he doesn't attend award functions and apart from the fact that he doesn't believe in awards functions it is also said that he stopped coming once his performances in films like Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander and Rangeela went unnoticed and he lost out to other actors. He is one of the finest actors working in the industry today and has given record hits over the years and made people think about the topics of his films. AAM Awards- The actor got the inaugural America Abroad Media Award for his widely acclaimed Television show 'Satyamev Jayate'. 

Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Awards- The actor made a special appearance at the awards function on May 2013 but didn't present or received an award.

GQ Men of the Year 2010- The actor received the Cinematic Icon award from none other than Hollywood legend John Travolta at the 2010 Men of the year awards.

Master Dinanath Mangeshkar Awards- The actor turned many heads when he finally went on to attend a film award at the special request of Lata Mangeshkar where he was presented with Vishesh Puruskar for outstanding work in Dangal.

GQ Men of the Year Awards 2017- The actor attended the awards ceremony and got the creative maverick award.
