Here’s What Balika Vadhu's Anandi, Toral Rasputra Has To Say About Kumkum Bhagya's Pragya, Sriti Jha’s TV Career!

Toral Rasputra and Sriti Jha started their TV careers together with the show, Dhoom Machao Dhoom, in 2006. A few years later, they worked together in Balika Vadhu . They’re not just fellow actors, but good friends, too, and Toral is impressed with how Sriti took her career forward.

Sriti went on to feature in the shows, Jiya Jale, Nachle Ve with Saroj Khan and Dil Se Di Dua... Saubhagyavati Bhava. Her ongoing show, Kumkum Bhagya — in which she plays the role of Pragya opposite actor Shabbir Ahluwalia — has been going strong since 2014.

Applauding Sriti’s professional choices, Toral says, “I know Sriti both professionally and personally, she is no doubt a good actor and one of the best co-stars I’ve worked with. We are quite comfortable in each other’s company. The kind of shows she has done so far and given her popularity, I can only say that she made the right choices.”

Meanwhile, Toral, who plays the role of Baija Maa in the show, Mere Sai, feels that the small screen offers less scope to actors to experiment with their looks unlike films.

“Everyone wants to look different every time they are playing a new character to create a new identity. But on television, there is not much scope to try new looks each time, considering the demanding schedules of daily soaps. So not just in terms of getting similar characters but looks, too, TV actors get typecast,” says Toral, who had earlier done shows such as Kesariya Balam Aavo Hamare Des and Ek Nayi Chhoti Si Zindagi.
