10.75 Crores For Puli On Day 1

The Illayathalapathy Vijay starrer Puli released on October 1 and has acquired great appreciation from fans all around Tamil Nadu. The movie grossed close to 10.75 crores on its first day. The movie saw its share of hiccups in the release but now finally it has hit theatres with a bang.

The movie had no competition on October 1 but might face a tough competitor in the Bollywood industry, Singh is Bling. Since Puli was released In Tami as well as Hindi, the audience may now be divided into the Singh is Bling group and the Puli group. Singh is Bling stars Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar.

With a solid start, Puli is expected to go along way at the box office. It is Vijay’s most expensive film thus far and follows the genre made extremely popular by Baahubali. Along with Vijay, Puli stars Shruti Haasan, Sudeep, Hansika Motwani, Sridevi and many others.
