Aambala faces legal muck over title

After the successful trailer launch, Vishal-starrer Aambala is making the news again. Now, that the movie is about to hit the screens, the makers seems to be facing a stay. According to the latest reports, a filmmaker named Hari Krishnan claims that he had already registered the title Aambala for his story a few years ago. The aspiring director has reportedly filed a plea in Madras High Court, requesting the court to stall its release.

"I had registered the title 'Aambala' with the Tamil Film Producers Council for my story. I have now learnt that the makers of Vishal's film have used the same title without even seeking my permission. Hence, I've taken the legal recourse," Harikrishnan said.

Meanwhile, the makers Aambala have denied the allegations regarding the film's title. They even confirmed that the Sundar C flick will release on the stated date. An insider said, "Discussions have been held and an amicable solution has been reached."
